Wild Sardinia

Friday 25 September – Sunday 4 October 2009

A brand new eight-days trekking to discover the wild and Mediterranean area of Supramonte di Baunei, through the mountains but always by the sea (5/8 days will be possible to swim).
4 days out of 5 we will walk with a light backpack to have the chance to concentrate on the meditative side of this kind of deep walking. It’s a massive immersion in nature, a challenge that can be faced with a base walking training.
Our journey stars in Genna Sarbene, goes into the meanders of the spectacular Codula di Luna, comes down to the sea at Cala di Luna, then climbs and comes down again to Cala Sisina. The trekking gets to Golgo, goes down to Goloritzé to reach a comfortable fold owned by Silvio, a dear friend who will be our host for 3 nights.
The fold is the base camp for next amazing wild walks: Portu Pedrosu Fiord, Capo Monte Santu Cliffs, where we are likely to watch the Queen’s hawk, the breathtaking walks down to Pedra Longa.
We are deep in Orosei Gulf, one of the wildest Italian areas: no roads, crystal clear waters, rocks and stones, oleanders and holm-oaks, ancient juniper and stone folds, caves and sheds. Just wilderness and our sleeping bags. We will enjoy an astonishing local cuisine.
Value added to this journey is a new kind of deep walking, meditative and conscious walks with a guide who embrace the Zen-Buddhism tradition. The cuisine is a vegetarian cuisine, in the tradition of our Deep Walking Trekking.
