The Enchanted Mountain

An healthy and simply life during a trekking in an unknown corner of the Appennino

Wednesday 7 – Sunday 11 Ottober 2009 (Tuscany)

Close to the «Alpe delle tre Potenze» and the highest mountains of the Tosco Emiliano Apennine, we discover the uncontaminated Scesta Valley, with its pastures and hidden tracks.
Deeply inside the hearth of this valley, Celestino, the host of Corvo Bianco Shed – simply, cosy, easy but really nice – will give us a warm welcome. We will share our experiences in the wilderness. Eating just cereals, legumes, and gathered greens, our body will be purified with an healthy diet.
With the season with us, we could gather mushrooms, and join the loving dinner cooked by Celestino’s wife. Her specialty is ricotta and wild spinach tortelli. We also have an oven to bake bread and pizza, and since each of us will cook, please have a train at home with some typical recipe of yours!
We will walk the wild and challenging Scesta Gorge, go up to the edges reaching blueberry mountain pastures, embrace ancient beeches and chestnuts, and finally make a visit to the shed of lone Shepherd Elia, sadly recently dead.
Time for meditation, deepwalking, haiku and so on.
